Just the two of us

Sunday, September 24, 2006

This afternoon my cousin Cary and his wife Allison came over for a visit with their two little ones, Lexi and Tori. Lexi is 4 years old and Tori is 9 months old.
Olivia and Avery had fun playing with both the girl's. Avery showed Lexi and Tori how her toy made music and then she and Tori played tug a war with Tori's milk for awhile. Olivia was right in their too showing the girl's how her musical walker worked.
It is always so sweet to see the girl's interact with other children, especially their cousins.

ANOTHER NEW CAR
This morning the girl's had their first fight. While I was preparing their breakfast for them, they both wanted to get on their new Dora car. The end result was Avery hit Olivia with another toy and Olivia decided she would get even by biting Avery's arm. Right then I thought it might be a good idea to go and get another car so they both have their own.
After nap time we jumped in the car took a ride to the store, and came home with the chattering telephone car. Now Mommy doesn't have to worry about anymore fights.
Tonight before dinner the two of them were driving their cars all around the house. Very cute.

Tonight our little Avery figured out that she can walk with her toy that Auntie Nancy & Uncle Roberto bought for the girl's last christmas.
With a little help, she is on the move.

Last night the girl's Baka came over for a visit and brought them a new Dora car. This is now their new favorite toy. All night long the two of them kept taking turns on it. Olivia can actually drive it around. She just hasn't figured out how to turn around. Were sure it's only a couple of days before she figures it out.
Yesterday the girl's had their 6 month check up at MacMaster hospital and the doctor's were so impressed with their progress that they don't need to go back for a year. Avery weighed in at 18 pounds & Olivia 17 pounds. They are still small for 15months of age (12 months corrected) but they are not concerned. Way to go girl's!!

Last night while the girl's were having dinner, Brian and I turned our heads for a second, when we turned back to give the girl's some more food Olivia was sound asleep. She took one last spoonful of sweet potatoes and was out.

OLIVIA CAME HOME ONE YEAR AGO TODAY!!!
On September 15th 2005 Olivia was finally reunited with her sister. Olivia had to stay in hospital a little longer because she was having difficulty with her feeds, and the doctor's wanted to get her weight up a little more.
I still remember this day as being one of our best ones. We had both our girl's home with us, and we didn't have to go back to MacMaster everyday.
We do still visit MacMaster but only for growth & development checks as well as eye exams.
September 15th was the girl's actual due date. They were 3 months early to the day!
Mommy & Daddy are so proud of the two of you. You both amaze us everyday.

CRAZY GIRL'S !!

Over the past couple of day's, trying to keep up with these two has been quite a challenge. Last night Avery discovered that she could climb up into her bouncy seat all by herself.
Look who is right behind her waiting to give it a try. Yep little Olivia watched her sister and of course she did it as well.

AVERY CAME HOME ONE YEAR AGO TODAY SEPT. 6. 2005
One year ago today Avery came home from the hospital. It's amazing how fast the time goes and how much the girl's have changed. Olivia stayed in hospital for another nine days before she could join her sister. This time last year was really hard for us having Avery at home, and Olivia still at the hospital.
To see her now no one would ever know she was 2 lbs at birth and 4.5 lbs when she came home to us.
