We now have a new yearly tradition. Last weekend we took the girl's down to Riverside park to check out all the beautiful Christmas lights and displays they had. The park also had the Merry-go-round going for free. I have never experienced so many beautiful lights in one place and to ride a Merry-go-round in the middle of December was amazing! Something we'll be doing every year!!
Our good friend Elizabeth recently celebrated her 4th birthday which we were so happy to be a part of. The girl's have not stopped talking about it at all especially about the fact that they got to go right into a chicken coup and pick out an egg for their baskets they had made.
Christmas is coming very quickly this year it seems as if I have blinked, and it's now only a few days away. This year I want Santa to bring me something to keep the germs away from the girl's. In the last 2 months the girl's have been sick twice. Olivia is VERY sick right now. It came on a few days ago and seems to be getting worse by the day. Avery has now started sneezing quite a bit so I'm sure the germs have infected her too. I only hope this doesn't last for Christmas I would hate for the girl's to miss out on all the fun things I have planned for them over the holidays like they did last year.

The girls got their first Christmas present this weekend by the one and only Santa Claus himself. Every year Brian's company has a children's Christmas party with lots of great food, entertainment and of course a visit from Santa. We missed last year's party due to being sick but this year we were all healthy and the girl's were so EXCITED about going.

Avery shocked both of us this year. She told us on the way to the party that she was going to sit with Santa "all by herself" I honestly didn't think she would do it but to my surprise she came out of her little shy shell and when her name was called out I took her hand and started walking up with her but she quickly pushed me away and said "I'm okay Mommy go" and she did all by herself. She sat on Santa's knee and before he could even ask her what she wanted for Christmas she said "I want a big girl barbie bike." We had been coaching them a couple of days before by telling them that when Santa asks them what they want they have to tell him something special. She was a little upset that Santa handed her a little present and not her big girl bike. I guess she'll be super excited Christmas morning when she sees her big girl bike!!
Avery & SantaI had no worries at all about my little Livi. When her name was called out she marched right up on stage and got right up on Santa's lap. I think if there weren't any other kids for Santa to give presents to she probably could have stayed there all day chatting up a storm with him.
My two beautiful girls And of course no event would be complete without Livi being her silly little self. She is such a little comedian.
After the Christmas party were off to the mall to meet up with Santa once again. Last years picture was a disaster, but this year was great! Two completely different kids. Last year we had kicking, screaming, and of course crying. This year pure calmness.
